Why I started blogging, red monochromatic look for fall.

Happy Saturday my Loves!!! Today’s post is going to be a little bit different, I realize I have never really talked about why I started blogging. I thought after all this time I should open up more.

I started this journey in March 2017 at a moment in my life where everything was going wrong, I was two years into a draining divorce battle, away from my family and just in a bad place mentally, emotionally, financially you name it. You know as women we tend to take care of everybody else but us, I realized that I had been so focused on everyone and everything else that I had completely forgotten about me. I needed to do something that was about me and no one else, something that made me happy. That is why I started this blog, because I am obsessed with fashion and beauty, I wanted to share it with the world, well maybe not the world but you know what I mean. LOL

And today I need you to help me grow and bring my blog to the next level. This is such an amazing opportunity, there will be thousands of bloggers applying. I have always been into sharing styling tips, sharing the latest skincare products with my friends, I opened my Instagram account in 2012, posted two pictures and never logged in again until about two years later. I really don’t know why I didn’t start earlier. Well that’s a lie, I know why! The main reason was really self-doubt: are people going to be interested in what I have to offer? Will they like my style? What if this? What if that?

And then I decided to just go for it, I started with what I had and never looked back.

After a year and half doing this, I always ask myself why I didn’t start way earlier? I have been growing slowly, but I am so happy about my growth, I hope to grow even more. This is really my passion and I dream of the day where I will leave corporate life and be a full time blogger. If I had to summarize why I started blogging in three words, it would be: Inspire – Share – Elegance.

Now let’s get into this red monochromatic look, red is one of my all time favorite colors. Red is one of 2018’s top fashion trends, this whole look (except the shoes) is from one of my favorite stores: Mango. Check out their sale.

I love the skirt length and the bow, because the skirt has that detail and the high slit, I kept the top simple. And yes I am wearing white shoes after labor day. The skirt can also be worn in a more casual way with a white shirt for example. Unfortunately the skirt and top are sold out, but I am linking similar styles below in the shop the post field.
